In this context, the internationally recognised EN 15085-2:2020 standard has been developed The EN 15085-2 standard aims to ensure that manufacturing and repair companies ensure the quality of welding in the production or maintenance of railway vehicles and their components. Certification to EN 15085-2 is recommended for all companies involved in the welding of rail vehicles.
The requirements of EN 15085-2 present different certification levels (CL 1 to 3) and different welding quality classes (CP A, CP B, CP C1, CP C2, CP C3, CP D).
